Cleaner Addendum to Terms & Conditions

This Cleaner Addendum ("Addendum") supplements the BlueTidy Terms & Conditions and applies specifically to Cleaners using the Platform.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: By registering as a Cleaner and accepting cleaning jobs, you agree to this Addendum. If you disagree, do not register or accept jobs as a Cleaner.
1. Independent Contractor Status
🔴 YOU ARE AN INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR, NOT AN EMPLOYEE
- BlueTidy does NOT employ you
- You set your own schedule and rates
- You provide your own equipment and supplies
- You are responsible for your own taxes
- You are not entitled to employee benefits (health insurance, paid time off, etc.)
- We do not withhold taxes from your payouts
2. Verification Requirements
2.1 Email Verification (Required)
- You must verify your email address
- Unverified accounts cannot accept jobs
2.2 Identity Verification (Required for Instant Booking)
- Identity verification is REQUIRED to enable instant booking
- Verification is optional for standard bidding
- Verification fee is non-refundable
- Stripe processes verification - we don't store your ID
- False information = permanent ban
2.3 Background Checks
- We may conduct background checks at our discretion
- You authorize us to do so by using the Platform
- Adverse results may affect platform access
3. Insurance Requirements
⚠️ INSURANCE IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY
BlueTidy does NOT provide insurance. You are strongly advised to maintain:
- General Liability Insurance: $1,000,000 minimum coverage
- Workers' Compensation: If you have employees
- Equipment Insurance: For your tools and supplies
- Commercial Auto Insurance: If you drive for work
You may be asked to provide proof of insurance. Failure to maintain insurance may result in account suspension.
4. Performance Standards
4.1 Service Quality
- Perform all agreed services professionally and thoroughly
- Complete all checklist items
- Meet or exceed Host expectations
- Follow all safety protocols
4.2 Punctuality
- Arrive on time for scheduled bookings
- Communicate delays immediately (minimum 1 hour notice)
- No-shows result in penalties and suspension
4.3 Communication
- Respond to booking requests within 2 hours
- Respond to Host messages promptly
- Use Platform messaging for all communication
4.4 Property Care
- Respect Host property and privacy
- Report ALL damages immediately, even minor
- Do not bring unauthorized guests
- No smoking, drugs, or alcohol on properties
- Secure properties when leaving
5. Payment Terms
5.1 Rate Setting
- You set your own base rates
- Instant booking uses your preset rates
- Bids are binding once submitted
- You cannot change price after Host accepts
5.2 Payouts
- Payment held by Stripe until Host approval
- 48-hour auto-approval if Host doesn't respond
- Payouts processed via Stripe Connect
- Processing fees deducted from payout
- Minimum payout: $10 USD
- Payouts typically take 2-7 business days
5.3 Disputes
- Host may dispute for damages or incomplete work
- Funds frozen during dispute resolution
- Provide evidence (photos, videos, communication)
- We make binding decisions based on evidence
- Fraudulent disputes may result in account action
6. Cancellation Policy
6.1 Cleaner-Initiated Cancellations

6.2 Consecutive Cancellations
- 3 cancellations in 30 days = 7-day suspension
- 5 cancellations in 90 days = 30-day suspension
- 10 cancellations in 365 days = account review for termination
7. Instant Booking Rules
7.1 Requirements
- Must complete identity verification
- Must set base rates
- Must maintain 4.5+ star rating
- Must have less than 5% cancellation rate
7.2 Availability
- Set available days in settings
- Hosts can book any available day at any time
- No per-booking approval needed
- You can disable instant booking anytime
7.3 Suspension
- Excessive cancellations = instant booking suspended
- Rating below 4.5 = instant booking suspended
- Suspension lasts minimum 30 days
8. Taxes
💰 TAX RESPONSIBILITY
As an independent contractor, you are SOLELY responsible for:
- Reporting all income to tax authorities
- Paying self-employment taxes
- Making estimated tax payments
- Keeping records of expenses
- Filing all required tax returns
We may issue Form 1099-K if you earn over IRS threshold ($600+).
9. Liability & Indemnification
9.1 Your Liability
- You are fully liable for damages YOU cause
- You are liable for injuries to yourself or others
- BlueTidy is not responsible for your actions
9.2 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify BlueTidy against claims arising from:
- Property damage you cause
- Injuries occurring during your work
- Your violation of laws
- Disputes with Hosts
10. Termination
10.1 By You
- You may delete your account anytime
- Pending payouts will be processed
- No refunds for verification fees
10.2 By Us (Immediate)
- Theft or property damage
- Violence or threats
- Fraud or fake verification
- Off-platform solicitation
- Harassment of Hosts
10.3 By Us (After Warnings)
- Excessive cancellations
- Poor ratings (below 3 stars consistently)
- Late arrivals without communication
- Policy violations
11. Non-Circumvention
🚫 DO NOT SOLICIT HOSTS OFF-PLATFORM
You agree NOT to:
- Offer to work directly for Hosts outside BlueTidy
- Share personal contact info to avoid fees
- Accept payment outside the Platform
- Use BlueTidy to find clients then work independently
Violation = Immediate permanent ban + legal action for lost fees
12. Ratings & Reviews
- Hosts can rate you after each job
- Low ratings may affect job opportunities
- You cannot ask Hosts for good ratings
- You cannot retaliate with bad Host ratings
- Fraudulent reviews will be removed
13. Dispute Resolution
- Step 1: Contact support@bluetidy.com
- Step 2: Provide evidence (photos, messages, etc.)
- Step 3: We facilitate resolution
- Step 4: Binding arbitration if unresolved
14. Acknowledgment
BY REGISTERING AS A CLEANER, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE:
- ✓ You are an independent contractor, not an employee
- ✓ You are responsible for your own taxes and insurance
- ✓ You are liable for damages you cause
- ✓ Verification does not guarantee job offers
- ✓ You have read and agree to this Addendum
- ✓ You have read and agree to the main Terms & Conditions
- ✓ You have read and agree to the Acceptable Use Policy
