Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to all users of BlueTidy Platform. By using our Platform, you agree to comply with this policy.
⚠️ Violation of this policy may result in:
- Warning or suspension
- Immediate account termination
- Forfeiture of payments
- Legal action
- Reporting to law enforcement
1. Prohibited Activities
🚫 YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY PROHIBITED FROM:
1.1 Illegal Activities
- Using the Platform for any illegal purpose
- Money laundering or fraud
- Theft or property damage
- Drug-related activities on properties
- Violating any local, state, or federal laws
1.2 Harmful Conduct
- Harassment, threats, or intimidation of any user
- Discrimination based on race, religion, gender, age, disability, or sexual orientation
- Stalking or unwanted contact
- Violence or threats of violence
- Posting hate speech or abusive content
1.3 Platform Abuse
- Creating fake or duplicate accounts
- Manipulating ratings, reviews, or bidding
- Circumventing payment systems (off-platform payments)
- Sharing account credentials
- Using bots, scrapers, or automated tools
- Reverse engineering our Platform
- Attempting to hack or breach security
1.4 Property Damage & Safety
- Intentional property damage
- Theft from properties
- Unauthorized entry or access
- Vandalism or graffiti
- Creating unsafe conditions
- Bringing unauthorized guests to properties
1.5 Content Restrictions
- False, misleading, or deceptive information
- Sexually explicit or pornographic content
- Defamatory or libelous statements
- Spam or unsolicited advertising
- Malicious code, viruses, or harmful software
- Impersonating others
2. Specific Rules by User Type
2.1 Hosts
- ✅ Must accurately represent property condition and amenities
- ✅ Must disclose all hazards (pets, stairs, chemicals, cameras, etc.)
- ✅ Must honor agreed pricing and terms
- ✅ Must provide safe working conditions
- ❌ Cannot cancel without valid reason (excessive cancellations = suspension)
- ❌ Cannot solicit cleaners off-platform to avoid fees
- ❌ Cannot use platform to find cleaners then hire directly
- ❌ Cannot post fake listings or bait-and-switch
- ❌ Cannot refuse service based on protected characteristics
2.2 Cleaners
- ✅ Must complete identity verification (if required)
- ✅ Must perform services professionally and thoroughly
- ✅ Must arrive on time or communicate delays
- ✅ Must report all damages immediately
- ✅ Must maintain liability insurance (recommended)
- ❌ Cannot subcontract jobs without Host approval
- ❌ Cannot solicit Hosts off-platform
- ❌ Cannot steal from or damage properties
- ❌ Cannot falsify completion of checklist items
- ❌ Cannot no-show without communication
- ❌ Cannot bring unauthorized helpers
3. Review & Rating Rules
3.1 Allowed Reviews
- Honest feedback based on actual experience
- Specific, factual observations
- Constructive criticism
3.2 Prohibited Reviews
- Fake or incentivized reviews
- Retaliatory reviews (giving bad review because you got one)
- Reviews containing personal information
- Reviews threatening or abusive language
- Reviews about unresolved disputes (use dispute system instead)
⚠️ Review Manipulation:
Asking for good reviews, offering incentives, or retaliating with bad reviews violates this policy and may result in account suspension.
4. Communication Rules
- Keep all communication professional and respectful
- Use Platform messaging for all booking-related communication
- Do not share personal contact info until booking confirmed
- Do not harass or spam other users
- Report abusive messages to support
5. Payment Rules
- All payments must go through Stripe via Platform
- No cash payments or off-platform transactions
- No chargeback fraud (disputes without valid reason)
- No fake or stolen payment methods
🚫 OFF-PLATFORM PAYMENTS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED
Paying or accepting payment outside BlueTidy:
- Violates our Terms
- Results in immediate account termination
- Forfeits all protections and dispute resolution
- May result in legal action for fee avoidance
6. Enforcement
6.1 Monitoring
We may monitor Platform activity but have no obligation to do so. We rely on user reports.
6.2 Violation Consequences
Depending on severity and frequency, consequences may include:
- Level 1 (Minor): Written warning
- Level 2 (Moderate): Temporary suspension (7-30 days)
- Level 3 (Severe): Permanent account termination
- Level 4 (Criminal): Reported to law enforcement
6.3 Specific Violations & Penalties
- Off-platform solicitation: Immediate permanent ban
- Theft or property damage: Permanent ban + reported to police
- Fake reviews: 30-day suspension + all fake reviews removed
- Harassment: 7-day suspension (first offense) or permanent ban (repeat)
- No-show without notice: $50 fee + 14-day suspension
- Discrimination: Immediate permanent ban
6.4 Appeal Process
If you believe enforcement action was in error:
- Email appeals@bluetidy.com within 14 days
- Include your account details and reason for appeal
- We will review and respond within 5 business days
- Appeal decisions are final
7. Reporting Violations
Report violations to:
- Email: abuse@bluetidy.com
- In-app: Report button on profiles/messages
- Emergency: Call local police for immediate danger
8. No Tolerance Policy
⚠️ ZERO TOLERANCE FOR:
- Violence or threats of violence
- Sexual harassment or assault
- Theft or intentional property damage
- Discrimination or hate speech
- Child exploitation or endangerment
These violations result in IMMEDIATE PERMANENT BAN and reporting to law enforcement.
9. Updates to This Policy
We may update this AUP at any time. Material changes notified via email. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
